2021 Utility Expo Proves to be the Biggest in the Demo Show’s History
More than 16,500 attendees made the rounds at the Utility Expo in September in Louisville, Ky. “Given that this was one of the first in-person shows in nearly two years, we were pleased with the turn out,” said Kerry Koberg, Strategic Accounts Director of DICA. “It was great to be back face-to-face with customers to answer their safe setup questions,” he said.
According to show organizer Association of Equipment Manufacturers, more than 900 companies exhibited on 32 acres—a show record. DICA products were in use around the show with equipment from Terex, Altec, Dur-A-Lift, Elliott, Hiab, Manitowoc, QMC, Ring Power, Spiradrill, and TIME/Versalift.
DICA featured several products popular with utilities and utility contractors, including FiberTech Outrigger Pads, SafetyTech Outrigger Pads Hi-Viz 18”x18” and 24”x24”, and Slot Lock Cribbing Blocks.
One of the topics that came up several times with visitors to the DICA booth was about DICA’s patented TuffGrip® Handles, which provide excellent ergonomic benefits for operators. “They are comfortable and strong, yet flexible and incredibly durable,” said Koberg. Made from engineered thermoplastic material they reduce cutting, pinching and fatigue caused by typical rope, cable or chain handles.
Many of the Utility Expo show visitors we’re pleasantly surprised to learn that DICA provides free replacement handles, hardware and installation instructions. If you notice a handle has been damaged due to day-in-day out wear and tear,“Just call or email us and our team will handle the rest,” says Koberg.
