Scott Sutherland Gets Creative When Working in Uneven Conditions
He’s back at it! Scott Sutherland of AJ’s Concrete Pumping in Vancouver, BC, and creator of the Canadian Concrete Pumper YouTube channel is using his platform to share best practices for concrete pump operators.
In a recent video, 24 meters of boom, 56 inches of cribbing…, Sutherland takes viewers through a common scenario of having to pump concrete in a complex residential neighborhood with limited space to setup. Sutherland uses DICA’s SafetyTech Outrigger Pads and ProStack Slot Lock Cribbing Blocks to safely and effectively work in tight, uneven, terrain. As demonstrated in his video, DICA’s Cribbing Blocks stack and lock together, which gives users the ability to safely establish cribbing height in unlevel conditions to help keep the equipment level.
Slot Lock Cribbing Blocks are designed for equipment with stabilizers and outriggers or static load applications. The blocks are rated up to 500 psi maximum allowable pressure and have a 100,000 lb. working load limit.
Individual blocks weigh 30 lbs. Users can also choose to have DICA’s patented TuffGrip® Handles installed on their Cribbing Blocks for easy handling, even when wearing gloves.
