Rigging Expert Mike Parnell Receives Dedicated Service Award from ASME
DICA would like to congratulate Mike Parnell, co-founder of Industrial Training International (ITI), on receiving the 2021 Dedicated Service Award from the American Society for Mechanical Engineering (ASME). The award is reserved for individuals who have served the Society for at least ten years.
“Mike is a pioneer of the industry; his impact on improving safety is far-reaching. Dedicated to sharing his knowledge for the betterment of many through countless hours of volunteered time makes him worthy of this recognition,” said Kris Koberg, CEO of DICA.
According to ITI, in 2014 ASME approved Fundamentals of Rigging Engineering, making it the world’s first rigging engineering training program. ITI has grown to become a global leader in the design and delivery of learning solutions for organizations conducting crane, rigging, and load handling activities.
Earlier this year, DICA began a collaboration with ITI to create Mobile Crane Ground Condition Education Courses. We appreciate the opportunity to work with ITI to make this subject matter available to the industry through a very accessible digital platform,” said Koberg.
