VERSAMATS GROUND PROTECTION MATS
The ultimate dual traction ground protection mat for users who need aggressive cleated equipment traction on one side and a flat-slip resistant surface on the opposite for walking. This dual traction combination, makes these engineered ground mats an ideal solution for creating rut free pathways, stop equipment from becoming stuck and mimimizing crew downtime.
Manufactured using environmentally friendly, recycled high-density polyethylene (HDPE) material, these poly ground mats are strong enough to support up to 120 tons. The 1/2″ thick mats are durable enough to take every day punishment but are lightweight enough (86 lbs. at their maximum size) to be easily moved by hand.

VersaMATS protect the ground from rut damage caused by pedestrian and vehicle traffic over areas you want preserved. These highly effective mats also help prevent equipment from becoming stuck and project delays due to soft ground.
VersaMATS feature a flat, slip-resistant pattern on one side for sure-footed walking, standing and working needs. The opposite side is built with the aggressive AlturnaMATS cleated tread pattern for maximum equipment traction.
Plywood splinters and breaks, is slippery when wet and is susceptible to rot and insect damage. VersaMATS eliminate recurring plywood replacement costs, expensive turf repair and provide personnel and equipment excellent traction.
Turn-A-Links enable VersaMATS to be linked together and create secure roadways and working platforms. For single operator handling, Handi-hooks allow users to easily drag our plastic construction mats.

What is the difference between VersaMATS and AlturnaMATS?
VersaMATS feature a flat, slip-resistant tread design on one side and the AlturnaMATS diamond plate tread design on the opposite, allowing for combined foot traffic and equipment use. AlturnaMATS protect against vehicle traffic and feature a diamond plate tread design on both sides.
What size ground protection mat do I need?
3×8 and 4×8 ground protection mats are the most popular. 3×8’s are easier to move while 4×8’s provide more coverage. If you have additional questions, please call us with and we can make a specific recommendation.
What is the delivery time for new orders?
Standard delivery time is 4 weeks. Please contact us at 800-610-3422 for a specific ground protection mat delivery estimate.
How will my mats ship?
Your ground protection mats will be shipped as freight and require a forklift to unload. If a forklift is not available a lift gate can be pre-ordered for a small additional fee.
Can I order mats without traction on one side?
Yes, VersaMATS can be ordered with only flat, slip-resistant on one side.
Can I order mat without traction on both sides?
Yes, but the mats will be very slippery when wet and have limited traction over elevation changes.
How thick are VersaMATS?
VersaMATS are 0.5″ thick.
Do your mats have handholds?
Handholds do not come standard, but can be special ordered. Please contact us for details at 800-610-3422.
How easy are your construction mud mats to stack and remove?
Our traction mats for heavy equipment are easiest to stack and remove if one side is smooth. This allows each mat to easily slide over each other.
Will black VersaMATS burn lawns?
Yes, if left for more than a few hours in the hot sun. Clear mats provide exceptional protection against turf burn.
In addition to black, do VersaMATS have other color options?
Yes, clear (they look white) mud mats for heavy equipment, which are excellent at preventing turf burn.
Can I drop tree limbs on VersaMATS?
No, doing so voids the limited lifetime warranty.

Are links available to connect VersaMATS?
Yes, Turn-A-Link fasteners are an accessory item. They make it possible to create more stable roadways or work platforms by securely linking the mats together.
