Why are Ground Protection Mats Needed?

VersaMATS are needed to help pedestrians and operators with hand propelled vehicles traverse areas where both traction and support is needed and there is concern underlying surfaces will be damaged. Common locations for VersaMATS include parking lots, work sites, running tracks, lawns and golf courses. Because of their toughness, vehicles weighing up to 60 tons can also safely drive on VersaMATS.

How VersaMATS Work

VersaMATS work by providing the strength, flexibility and traction needed to allow operators to safely and effectively traverse a given area. They can be easily linked together to build a temporary walkway, working platform or parking lot and they don't absorb water or break down after repeated use.

Selecting the Right Mat

For pedestrians VersaMATS are the best choice due to their less aggressive waffle tread pattern. For primarily vehicle traverse AlturnaMATS are a better choice due to their aggressive diamond plate tread design.

The 3x8 mats weigh 68 lbs. making them light enough for one person to move while providing excellent coverage.

The 4x8 mats provide maximum square foot coverage for bigger jobs where multiple operators are typically available to position the mats.

White is a good choice if mats will be left for long periods of time over grass in hot weather.
