Lack of Outrigger Pads Results in Serious Crane Incident

Vertikal.net reports of a recent crane rollover in Oslo, Norway. The cause of the accident was a failure to use proper outrigger pads. This resulted in a point loaded setup (failing to spread a concentrated load over a wide enough area) and lead to the outrigger foot punching through the paved surface and the toppling of the crane.

On day #2, we spent time walking the Gold Lot where cranes of all shapes and sizes were found trusting their stability to DICA Safety Tech Outrigger Pads. Industry giants such as Liebherr, Maeda, Altec, Tadano and Elliott had DICA products at the base of their cranes.

CONEXPO 2011, Day 1

Day #1 of 2011 CONEXPO was a tremendous success. The DICA booth is located in the South Hall at # S-10524. Many of our great existing customers stopped by to say hi and catch up.
