We believe in your outrigger pads. Also, our reputation rides on them, so to speak.  And we have a good reputation.

Thanks!

New Ad Design Unveiled Targeting Crane Industry

Testimony #444

These lightweight pads are just what the doctor ordered for our lifting operations here at the plant in Orlando.  They are lightweight, easy to work with, and durable.

Thank you very much for this product; it’s one of the better purchases we’ve made in setting up our rigging operations here.

The Use of Crane Outrigger Pads For All Terrain and Mobile Cranes

DICA came across an insightful article from Ace USA Risk Control Services. It covers the use of crane outrigger pads by operators of Mobile and All Terrain cranes and provides a valuable rule of thumb.

All Terrain and Mobile Cranes are designed to use their outriggers and outrigger floats to achieve their maximum lifting capacity.  Secondary crane pads called blocking or cribbing, provides additional support for the crane and its load.  The ground pressure developed by a crane on its outrigger floats can be very high.  There may be times when only one outrigger float is taking the majority of the weight of the crane and its load.  Since the outrigger float is relatively small in area, it can generate significant pressure on the ground surface.
